1986
Our Humble Beginnings
Mr. and Mrs. Leong Boon Hoo began with a van truck in Satok, Kuching, introducing the very first legendary buttermilk bun and Kek Lapis to Sarawakians.

2011
A New Generation
Mr. Leong Kia Chun took the helm and carried the name across the state through shopping mall roadshows and brand awareness campaigns.

2015
Our First Centralised Kitchen
Business restructuring brought the first centralised factory at Batu Kitang, allowing consistency at scale without losing the handmade character.

2017
The Birth of Taka Patisserie
On 23 September, Taka Patisserie opened at Tabuan Tranquility, turning a bakery into a lifestyle destination.

2020
Reinvention
Through the pandemic, new retail and online systems carried the brand into 11 further outlets, including Sarawak's first three-storey bakery cafe.

Taste of Sarawak, Nationwide
Over 35 outlets across Kuching, Bintulu, Sibu and Miri, and now in West Malaysia at Setapak KL and SS15 Subang Jaya.
